Celebrating their "New Kentucky Home"

The excellent work of Kentucky Refugee Ministries was highlighted in a feature article leading up to World Refugee Day. Those interviewed painted a good picture of the struggles refugees have endured and their strong desire to succeed in their new home. Kudos to Barbara Kleine, Director of the Lexington office, for eloquently summarizing the ideals of the US refugee program:
 
“Our tradition in America is that we are a beacon of hope for people who are persecuted," [Kleine] said. "Most Americans would not want our country to lose that identity."
